Guitar Tuning Tips

  • • Standard tuning: E2 A2 D3 G3 B3 E4
  • • The 1st and 6th strings are both E, two octaves apart
  • • Tune from the lowest (6th) string upward for stability
  • • Use the 5th fret method: fret the 6th string at 5th fret to match open A

Violin Tuning Tips

  • • Standard tuning: G3 D4 A4 E5
  • • Strings are tuned in perfect fifths
  • • Tune the A string first (440 Hz reference), then tune others to it
  • • Use fine tuners for small adjustments, pegs for large ones
